The British High Commissioner meets with the Sri Lanka business community at a Breakfast meeting
 
 
The newly appointed British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka and Maldives His Excellency James Duaris meet with the Sri Lankan business community at a Breakfast meeting held on 0th of June at the Hilton Residencies.

The meeting which was facilitated by the Council for Business with Britain of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce enabled the Sri Lankan corporate executives to get to know the new ambassador, introduce their companies to him and also share and exchange views for further development of trade between Sri Lanka and UK.

Before taking over his latest assignment, His Excellency Dauris was the Ambassador to Peru. Before Peru, he has served in Colombia as Deputy Head of Mission and later has functioned as the 'Acting Head of South Asia Group in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London' and also as the Deputy Head of the EU External Department among several other postings.

His Excellency Dauris has obtained a degree in law from the University of Cambridge and is a qualified solicitor.

The breakfast meeting was graced over 75 members from both the Council for Business with Britain (CBB) and other business corporates doing business with Britain. The Chairman, Export Development Board, Mr Bandula Egodage was among the invitees.
