CBB Inter School Drama Competition - Finals

Competing with 13 schools, the finals of ‘The CBB Annual Inter School Drama Competition’ saw St. Bridget’s Convent becoming the overall winner, with their drama titled “Booby Trap” held on the 20th of February, 2016.

Gateway International, Colombo became the 1st runner up, while The British School in Colombo emerged as the 2nd Runner Up and Lyceum International, Pandura were the 3rd Runner up of this annual competition.

Mahinda College, Galle was awarded for being the Best Outstation School, in the competition.

The winning drama of the SBC, “Booby Trap” was directed by Malinthi Perera, Saalihah Mohideen, Laaiqah Mohamed, Melmari Cruse and Saranie Wijesinghe.

The finals were judged by Keith Davies, Shanuki de Alwis and Feroze Kamardeen, who are well know in the Sri Lankan drama field.

The competition was held at the British School Auditorium under the patronage of the British High Commissioner, H.E. James Dauris

The annual drama competition also gives an opportunity for the student community to take part in an innovative, creative and stimulating theatrical experience, for a worthy cause as a fund raiser for the ELT (English Learning Teacher) Program.
